license in India, similarly if you want to drive in foreign land, then it is

What is an International Driving License?
An international driving license is an official
document that allows a person to drive a motor vehicle overseas. An
international driving license is authorized by the United Nations, allowing

languages to transport authorities abroad who are able to verify and
understand your driving credentials. In simple words, an International Driving
License is the official translation of your driving license.
An international driving license can be obtained
by any foreigner who wishes to drive a motor vehicle on Indian roads. An
international driving license is valid for 1 year from the date of issue.
Obtaining an International Driving License is not

How can you apply for an international driving license?
Applying for aninternational driving license is easy and you can make a purchase by following one
of four ways:
Procedure for getting IDL Nursing in Regional Transport Office: You can apply for a driving license at your nearest RTO office. This can be done by filling 3 forms which are mandatory for obtaining IDL. CMV-4A form i.e. application formfor International Driving License CMV1 form and CMV1-A form related to your medical conditions. You have to fill CMV1 and CMV1-A has to be filled by your doctor. You have to fill these forms and submit them to the RTO along with the relevant documents.
• Procedure for obtaining an International Driving License online: Transport departments of some states provide you the facility of obtaining an internal driving license online. Go to the website of your state's transport department and download three forms unlimited i.e. CMV-4A, CMV1 and CMV1-A printout and fill the form and get the form CMV1-A filled by your doctor. Submit these forms along with supporting documents to your RTO office. For both offline and eastern process, you will get Rs. Will have to be given a basis of 1000 and can avail their IDL within a week.
• Western India Attachment Association (WIAA) If you are a resident of Mumbai, Pune or Ahmedabad, you can opt to get an International Driving License through the WIAA. But to get IDP through Western India Attached Union, you must be a member of the association. You stay Submit 1500 and related documents as fees. If you apply for an internal driving license through the Western India Attachment Association, you can get a license in 2 days and also get a travel discount.
When you are traveling to countries that are parties to the 1949 Geneva Convention, you can apply for the IDL through the Western India Enclosed Union.
• International Control Traffic Association (ITCA)
Another way to obtain an internal driving license is on the website of the Intern Control Traffic Association.
If you want to get IDL through ITCA website, you will need the following documents
• Scanned copy of your national driving license and pass
